What I Treat

I don't pretend to be an expert in everything. Here's where I go deep.

PTSD & Trauma Recovery

After a serious accident, a medical crisis, or another life-altering event, things don't always just "go back to normal." You might be replaying what happened over and over, having nightmares, struggling to sleep, or feeling on edge all the time. Maybe you're avoiding driving, avoiding the place where it happened, or pulling away from people you care about. You might feel numb, disconnected, or like the person you were before the accident is someone you can't quite reach anymore.

Those reactions are more common than you think, and they're treatable. I help you make sense of what you're going through, develop tools that actually work for your day-to-day life, and find your way back to feeling like yourself again.

Anxiety

Anxiety can show up in a lot of ways. Maybe it's a tightness in your chest before a meeting, a spiral of worst-case thinking at 2 a.m., or a constant low hum of dread you can't quite explain. It can make you second-guess decisions, avoid situations that used to feel routine, and leave you exhausted from simply getting through the day. I help clients understand what's driving their anxiety, build practical tools to manage it, and regain confidence in their ability to handle what comes next.

Depression

When everything feels heavy and the things that used to matter just don't anymore, it's hard to see a way forward. You might be going through the motions but feeling disconnected from your own life. Maybe you're withdrawing from people, losing motivation, or carrying a sadness that won't lift. I work with clients to process the raw emotions underneath the numbness, reconnect with purpose, and build a path back to feeling engaged with the world again.

Chronic Pain

Living with chronic pain affects far more than your body. It can drain your energy, shrink your world, and leave you feeling frustrated, isolated, or hopeless. The toll it takes on your mood, your relationships, and your sense of self is real, and it deserves real attention. I help clients develop practical coping strategies, process the grief and frustration that often accompany chronic pain, and rebuild a life that feels meaningful even when pain is part of the picture.

About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Junker, LCSW

Elizabeth Junker, LCSW | Founder

I'm Elizabeth, a licensed clinical social worker who founded Wellspectrum after years of providing clinical care in hospitals, schools, and private practice. I hold degrees from Catholic University and Harvard University, and my work has spanned children, teens, and adults dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.

I created Wellspectrum to bring the highest quality of clinical care into a practice that's built entirely around the individual. Every treatment plan I develop is rooted in evidence-based methods, and every session is shaped by both professional rigor and genuine attention to what each client is going through. If you're looking for someone who holds themselves to the highest professional standard while still being warm, present, and focused on you, that's exactly how I practice.

I'm licensed in Virginia, Maryland, Missouri, and Illinois, and all of my sessions take place online.
